Need to put your brilliant idea into a business plan but don’t know where to start? Then we might be able to help – providing you don’t mind sharing the experience with the Startups.co.uk readership, that is...

Palo Alto, the developers behind the world’s best-selling business planning software, Business Plan Pro, have just released a new version for 2008.

Apparently it’s been completely rebuilt, to be faster, more powerful and easier to use with lots of added features in addition to:

-          500+ sample business plans

-          research documents for 9,000 industries

-          powerful tools for forecasts and financials

-          easy step-by-step process

-          free UK technical support

That all sound’s great, of course, but what you really want to know is, ‘what’s it like to use?’; ‘will it help me take my idea to market?’; ‘will it land me the money I need to start?’

Well, we could review it for you, but as Amazon and eBay have proved, the best reviews come from those buying and using the products.

That’s why we’re looking for two Startups readers to review the latest version of Business Plan Pro and keep a diary of how they get on. You’ll get a free copy of the software and lots of publicity as we make your report a permanent feature of our business planning channel.

Applicants must be at pre- or early-trading stage and looking to produce a clear strategy to take their idea or business to the next level.

If you’d like to be considered please email an outline of your idea/business, its current position and your ambitions for it, in fewer than 400 words to Matt Thomas, editor of Startups.co.uk, by Friday 15th February.
