Can i sell certain brand names om my web page without their consent, ie can i sell Gap clothes or other brand names (some of which are not available in the UK) ?
Can i state (using Gap as an example) they are made by Gap, and can i leave the Gap tags in them etc Or by law am i not able to do this? I have asked Trading Standards but they are taking Ages to get back to me.
Any help would be fab, thanks liz.

Of course u can!
As long as it's not imitation, u do not need consent. Simply put, do ebayers seek consent from the brand owners to sell their goods? Capital No.

Aslong as the product is not of a major brand and from a reputable wholesaler it shouldnt be a problem, the only time you would have issues would be with a major worldwide clothing brand like Levi or Wrangler who would require certain terms, contract, legal requirements and control of stock distribution.

You may need to be a bit careful. I guess these are seconds/end of ranges? There are a number of retailers doing that and my recollection is that the original retailers tag is removed. QD stores group do a lot of that type of stuff. Might be worth wondering around their shop floor to see what they do. I'm not sure about Tmax - don't really know where they source their stuff.
Look at it from Gap's perspective. Would they want you to sell one of their branded garments, presumably at a discount, and then the buyer to take it into one of their shops for a refund?
I think I would pester Trading Standards to get an answer.
