Hi,
Im looking to carry out some direct mail and telesames markerting for my new clothing business (www.habaneroclothing.co.uk) and need a database of contacts to work from.
In the past I have just trawled through directories to get names and addresses but doing that nowerdays means I could ve violating the TPS rules and regulations about cold calling etc...
Does anyone know of a decent list supplier where I can buy pre vetted lists of potential custoemrs that I can use for direct marketing campaighns etc...

The cheapest way is to look at your competitors stockists list, most companies provide this info on their websites, if you see the same stockists appearing on the top ten companies list then the chances are they are a quality account worth chasing. If you click on this link http://www.soltex.co.uk/ and click exhibitor listing in the orange column (RH Side) it will give a great list of players in your field many of which have a direct link to their sites. Alternatively you could register with http://www.sales-agents.com/ and appoint a good agent who will give you accesss to quality accounts and would work on a commission only basis..
