We provide a press release service which has been created very much with the small and medium-sized business in mind. It's quick, easy, keenly priced and designed to suit firms that need just occasional media relations support. All companies have a story to tell but many are put-off public relations by the perceived high cost of PR services.
So how much does it cost? We offer three service levels:
Basic: we will research and write your press release for an all-in fee of £250+VAT.
Standard: we will research and write your press release and provide you with a targeted media distribution list for an all-in fee of £325+VAT.
Enhanced: we will research and write your press release; provide a targeted media distribution list; and distribute the press release via e-mail and post for an all-in fee of £425+VAT.
You can supply us with all necessary information and order the press release on-line:

If we need more information, we will call you to get it. You can pay for this service by PayPal, direct bank transfer, or cheque. We will supply you with the necessary details when we have received your order.

I've been doing a bit of research into PR recently so am very interested in your service. Could you provide a bit more info on your service. I understand there's a book called the Writers Guide (or some such) with thousands of media contacts in it. If your service is simply mailing releases to these contacts then I'm not sure its worth the money.
If on the other hand you develop relationships with media contacts on a companies behalf and have a good success rate then the money might be of value.
I only ask because we spent £250 on a press release distribution service that had many media outlets listed as recipitents and we didn't receive any feedback from it at all. It may have been our release or it may have been the company.
Can you give a bit more info?

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. For distribution, we use Waymaker which is very comprehensive, constantly updated, and is an accurate way of targeting your press release at your key audiences.
However, distribution is only the final link in a chain. Your press release won't get used unless it is newsy. Respectable and credible publications (i.e. those that you want to be in!) won't use a thinly veiled marketing plug in their news columns. All media outlets get hundreds to thousands of press releases every day, so yours has to have a news angle and be relevant to their readership/audience. Even if a PR operative is best friends with a journalist he or she won't get coverage unless the press release meets these criteria.
Also, even if your release ticks all the right boxes it may not be used - there's no guarantee and an element of luck is always involved. PR can deliver brilliant results and secure coverage which would cost you huge amounts of money if you were to pay for equivalent advertising. However there is always a risk that you'll issue something which won't get used.
You can minimise the risk by using a professional and experienced PR firm, but, ultimately, ff you aren't prepared to take this risk then you'd be better off spending your budget on direct advertising.
There you go, something you don't see very often, some free advice from a PR consultant!
