The British Library has launched a new programme of events examining and celebrating the ‘Asian revolution’ that has changed the face of British business.
Asian food, culture, design and products have never been so popular in Britain. The series of three discussions will examine how this ‘Asian revolution’ came about and look at why Asian entrepreneurs, designers and artists are so influential in Britain today.
The programme will also focus on how British firms can tap into the increasingly affluent Asian market estimated to have a spending power of £10 billion a year.
Speakers will include Sky News presenter Lisa Aziz and the presenter of BBC 2’s ‘Working Lunch’, Adam Shaw. Leading Asian entrepreneurs will also be revealing their secrets and taking questions from the audience.
Atma Singh, policy advisor on Asian affairs for the Mayor’s Office of Greater London Authority, said: “These events will inspire and motivate young British entrepreneurs – both within the Asian community and outside. I encourage all Londoners to support this programme.”
