Hi
Can anyone recommend a low cost (free??) stock control database?
I need to be able to keep track of stock, and also be able to record sales and how much stock us currently listed/sold in different places (Ebay, Amazon, our website, fairs etc).
I'm not very good on excell, and also another consideration is I'd like a system that has pages to enter/record info on rather than a large spreadsheet as I'm dyslexic and can sometimes in a pickle when faced with a big screen full of numbers!!
Cheers, Rachel

Hi Rachel
How many products are you looking to track?
The reason why I ask is that I am in the process of putting together my own (Excel) driven spreadsheet. It will be quite simple and not too elaborate. If appropriate I can mail you a copy for nothing.
Let me know.

For a good value system, do you have any accounting software?
The main line packages (quickbooks, SAGE, MYOB) all have fairly decent stock control systems built in at the circa £100 price tag.
Certainly worth taking a look at what you might already have for free on your desktop!

Hi Rachel
It will probably be the middle of next week before I have finished what I am doing, so will send you a mail roundabout next Wednesday with some information on.
For what it's worth, I looked at a few basic commercial systems, and for the money which they were charging, I thought that they were a) More than what I needed and b) Not particularly good value for money.
