Does anyone really make any serious money using ebay?

I am sure some people do make good money- I have several clients who are heavily into ebay although only as one part of what they do.

This is like asking "does anyone make money out of a retail shop?"

Some do, some don’t. Depends on your product and how you set things up.

I would however say generally margins are ridiculously small with eBay as the barriers to entry are so low - ie anyone can set up which means competition tends to be fierce and people tend not to value their time very highly, ie are willing to earn very small amount of money per hour.
