Hi all,
Don't normally do this but I am looking forward to the summer as we go into Xmas as I am about to launch yet another new business (3rd one in 2 years)
take a look at the website http://www.waterblaster.eu/ now live (Video number 2 is me be Kind
)
If there are any sales agents on here who's clients are water sports shops, beach shops activity centres etc, then get in touch as I am looking for you to get these into shops for next year.
If you own a beach surf shop (Loose Fit
) then maybe you would be interested
Let me know your thoughts on the website as well please
Thanks
Martin

Looks like a fun product; and one that could take off. However, as always I have to advise that video is better used well or not at all.
There's not much wrong with your shots for the given context. And as 'moving thumbnails' they're absolutely fine. Indeed the whole site to me looks neat and professional. But, if you're going to have 'featured' videos you should consider having a professional producer provide you with something more structured that actually sells the product. This might also have value as an exhibition piece and/or P.O.S. display so would be money well spent.
Don't try this at home or get the local 'wedding guy' to do it; You need someone PROPERLY qualified and experienced. (and that DOESN'T include those who's 'qualifications' have been bought from a certain pseudo-professional institute!) You're looking for someone who holds an HND/Degree from a legitimate FE/HE institution or has completed training with either ITV or the BBC.
Budget between £600-£1000 per finished minute for production fees. You may need to add any costs associated with setting up locations, hiring presenters etc... And you shouldn't really need more than 2-3 minutes to get your sales message across.

With luck Martin your contacts will be able to set you up with a good 2nd or 3rd year film student or one of the (now many) ex-BBC\ITV technicians who operate in 'semi retired' mode at this point in the market. Don't be talked into going OTT with it budget wise. Costs can EASILY quadruple over those I've suggested! You don't need it shot on 'DigiBeta' or in HD; Someone who knows their way around a 3-chip Mini DV should be able to sort you out...
Best of luck with it all
Regards,
Matt.

Thanks Matt, My brother is a freelance sound engineer (Ex/BBC) so he works with quite a lot of the types you mention.
