I received a letter in the post yesterday from a company called the UK Internet Registry claiming that I had registered the .co.uk version of a domain name and that I should really register the .com as well. All I had to do was send a cheque for an almighty sum of £175. In case you don't know, a .com domain name can be registered for around £20! This letter looks very much like an invoice and I'm sure it could easily fool people so please be on the lookout for it. Nominet, the UK domain registry, are also concerned about this and have some more information at http://www.nominet.org.uk/News/NewsStories/StatementOnUkInternetRegistryLtd.html Gary Managed Web Website Maintenance Services http://www.managedweb.com
