i am aware that i can get free business numbers from some of you guys, but what i am particularly after, if possible, is a business type number that will direct to my mobile phone.
this is so i can advertise a more professional look for my business than advertising my mobile number.
it is easier to contact me on my mobile than at home.
hit me with your offers - it might be best if you can email them to me

cheers

sorry for any confusion caused on the original post.
i meant free non-geographic phone numbers that direct to mobile phones when needed.
i have now found loads of companies that i can get a 0845 number from but alas, it costs to recieve the calls on mobiles.
i will still get a 0845 but will have to stick to the voicemail when i am not around

I think you will be hard pushed to find anyone who will direct an 0845/0800/0870 number to your mobile for free! The telco's all have carrier charges to cover to connect to the mobile operators. The only option you are likely to find is another 070 number which can be set to a hunt group option (cue blatant plug http://www.quicktele.com ) but that in itself still looks like a mobile number.

As already mentioned, providers will charge you to redirect an 0845 number to a mobile. The only way to do this for free is to use an 0700 number with a high enough call charge to enable a provider to route it for free.
The problem then becomes having your clients ring an 0700 number.
Another option besides others above is to use VoIP. Here you can have an 0845 number redirected to a VoIP account which you can log into from any PC suitably connected to the internet - eg. a laptop.
Perhaps have a look here http://www.newprospect-bs.com/0870_0845_0800_guide.htm for other call handling options.
Best wishes,
