Hi there,
I am fairly new to being a company director of a recent company. I have some bad feelings about things overall and would like to ask for some advice.
Is there a website I can use (preferably free) to check how many shares I have been allocated compared to the other director in the company?
If I am not happy with the allocation and discussions do not go successfully can the company force me to continue my role as a director or is there a way out?
Thanks in advance,

You can get download a report from companies’ house for £1 showing all directors and shareholders although this will only be as accurate as the last annual return. For a new company there may not be one yet.
Quite frankly that fact you are asking these questions rather than relying on your fellow director’s integrity to supply the correct information suggests you need to be looking at your exit. You can resign your position, getting paid out for your shares might be a different issue unless you have a good agreement covering exits.

Thanks for the prompt response James. Although my eyes are focussed on the exit the current difficulty is that unfortunately the other director is a family member.
I have already brought up the subject and it has been discussed. My reason for wanting to check the shares status is that I have been told that my shares were updated as of the last annual return. I would like to check this to find out if this is true.
I am then able to decide how to proceed with things.
Is this information included in the report from companies house?
