Those of you who remained glued to The Apprentice for the entire duration of the last series may be missing the cutthroat excitement, and snapshot (however realistic) of corporate life it provided us with.

However, there’s probably quite a few of you out there that would have preferred the idea of being on Sir Alan’s side of the fence rather than embarrass yourself on national television trying to survive as a contestant.

If you think you’ve got the makings of a Donald Trump or Richard Branson going to waste inside you, then why not have a go at running a multi-million dollar company?

Ok, doing it for real would probably seem like being thrown in at the deep end a bit, so what about the chance to play at being a ruthless CEO?

Orange Business Services and The Times Online have teamed up to give the budding corporate sharks among you the chance to win £10,000 by entering their Fantasy CEO challenge.

The game involves a series of business tasks and online activities, pitting entrants against each other in a competition to see who’ll be ranked number one and win the prize.

Each Stelios / Sir Alan wannabe must steer a $40million electronics manufacturing company through eight rounds, over a period of eight weeks, with each round representing a year in business.

Entrants will be responsible for controlling research, development, production, finance and marketing of the company, in a bid to boost productivity – while simultaneously knocking out the competition.

With you in the director’s chair it’s all down to you to transform the company into a profitable business.
