Hi, Im doing some research and would really appreciate you assistance in answering what is a very short questionnaire. I’m interested in the marketing habits of startups/small companies. Of interest is small companies, self employed people and even individuals who have a full time job but earn money on the side with a business (eg on ebay).
This research is purely for our own internal use (we're a marketing agency) and will not be used for any other reason other than to gauge how individuals/businesses are promoting their products and/or services. We do not require names or even contact details. If anyone wants to discuss any of the above with me please call me on 020 7298 1262.
It’s a very short questionnaire as follows:
1) What is the nature of your business?
2) How many employees do you have?
3) Is this your main source of income?
4) Which of the following do you use to promote your business?
Offline
- Press (local)
- Networking
- Noticeboards (supermarkets & other stores)
- Direct mail
- Door drops/leaflets
- Directories (Yell, Thomson Local, etc)
Online
- Have own website
- Online networking
- Search engine optimisation (higher placement in search engines)
- Pay per click
- Pay per call
- Reciprocal links
- Online directories
- Any other forms of marketing not listed above?
5) Which of the above (you may list more than one) are the most effective?
6) Do you intend to use any forms of marketing in the near future which you do not currently use at present?
