Hi,
We are launching a web-based business offering online services (no stock involved). We are trying to compile a list of operating costs to ensure that we have our bases covered but no doubt we have missed a few...
Can anyone help with a simple list of items to consider?
Many thanks,
Ro

Ro,
I think you need to sit down and think logically about each stage of your business process. Ie buying, marketing and selling and distribution costs.
Also think about your year - some costs might only occur annually such as insurance and accounting fees etc, or as one off start-up costs, such as having a logo designed.
No one list will work for everyone, and there is no way you will get ir right now, as things will change as your business develops. I personally would stick to finding out about the big costs and then be rather broad brush with smaller items. Don’t forget to add a big amount in for the unknown costs, and something for bad debt and refunds you nay have to give out.

Ro,
It depends what kind of service you are offering. Even if there is no stock involved, there are always overheads that you need to consider. Eg if your offering an online limo driving service there will be fuel and drivers costs to think about.
