Hi all,
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding print advertising for online retailers. We're looking into placing small ads along the lines of the WebWindows boxes you get in various national newspapers. Anyone already placed these kinds of ads? What was the response rate like? Did it justify the cost?
Many thanks,
Tim

chunkichilli (Great Name by the way)
I have placed adverts in local and national press like the ones you are talking about.
The response rate to people looking is noticeable
A small ad in a magazine of approx 25000 readership returns a rate of approx 500 - 600 people looking and about 15 sales, if based on products I sell at the moment
A small ad in a magazine of approx 250000 readership returns a rate of approx 4000 - 5000 people looking and about 260 sales, if based on products I sell at the moment
From that it should give you an idea as to if it is worth it or not with some simple excel calculations.
I hope that helps? I should say it depends on the rpoduct, but you jumpers in the right places I would have thought would do well. Good Luck
