Money from the European Social Fund will be used to provide a free service to help people set up their own business in the region that leads the UK in the number of new start-up firms.
The fund is available to people from Kent to Oxfordshire and south thereof but excludes London residents.
Participants may be employed or unemployed to receive help incorporating their company, business planning, drafting contracts and filing VAT and other documents electronically with Companies House.
The service, a joint effort between Government Office South East, APAC Training, IncWise and the RAIS Academy, will also offer registered office and company secretary service.
The scheme will be established as a pilot project for other areas, with the aim of further boosting the number of start-up businesses in the region.
Details of the project are available at www.incwise.co.uk/ESF.
