Could someone recommend a call handling service provider? I am particularly interested in someone to answer calls when my line is busy or I am not available. Also, would I have to change my currently advertised phone number in order to accommodate one of these services?
TIA.

I'd try looking in Exchange and Mart - they have a number of these services listed. It only costs about 40p as well so shouldnt break the bank...
I think that you would have to change your number to accomdate one of these services

Hi
If you are wanting to keep your existing number that shouldn't be a problem. Two options would be:
Use your landline provider's call divert service to forward the calls to your answering service when you are engaged on the phone or unable to take the call.
If you are already using a 0800 number or similar you can ask your number provider to add the DDI landline number that the call answering service allocates to you as a second destination (the call would go to your landline first then bounce to the call centre when engaged or not answered), plus you wouldn't have to pay the extra divert costs that you would if you were to use your landline providers call divert service. If they give you a 0845 number for example they should also be able to give you the landline number behind it if you ask.
Hope that helps!

HI
Dont really want to blow my own trumpet, but we are a call handling service, that specialises in small and start up businesses.
We are a low cost option, with many facilities. We are more than happy to give advice wether you choose to use our services or not.
You should be able to use your existing number and divert the calls, however most companies incuding us will provide you with a unquie number which you will be able to take with you, should you leave them. Hope you get sorted, best of luck!

Hello,
Try www.e-zeeoffice.com
I have used them on many occasion, they look after my calls and e-mails whilst I am away etc.
This is a virtual assistant, they do more than just answer your calls, they can run your whole office if needed.
Very good, reliable, cost effective service.
