Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a new information based website venture. I was contemplating charging for access to the site with this being the main revenue stream however I am now thinking that it may be better to drive traffic to the site and charge for advertising.
Can anybody give me an idea of how much I could charge for banner ads, text links etc..
Also, does anyone know of any firms that will sell my advertising for me with them taking a commission off each 'sale'.
Many thanks,
David

The cost of advertising varies. It all depends on what the website does and the potential business you could bring to the advertising company.
It also depends on the volume of traffic. Just to make you aware, it will take months/years to get any sort of "valuable traffic" to your site.
I hope this helps.
