About Us
Mr. Electric UK began it’s franchise operation in 1998, when it acquired the Master License from the Texas-based Dwyer Group, one of America’s most successful franchised organisations.
The company is now the world’s largest residential and light commercial electrical installation and repair business, with franchises spread across the entire UK, offering a nation-wide, 24 hour a day, 365 day a year service.
Mr. Electric has cornered its market in the UK, being the only franchised business of its kind.
The company’s services are regularly used by some of the country’s biggest insurance companies, retail outlets and letting agencies, as well as thousands of homeowners.
Mr. Electric claims that its franchise programme is stable and has the potential for success on every level as its dominant position in a niche market means that it does not suffer the cash flow problems or tight margins and late payments of other franchised industries.
What does the franchise provide?
Mr. Electric promises to provide franchisees with: Manuals; Monthly newsletter; Software; Marketing material; three-month starter kit; 2-year personalised business plan. The company will also provide general assistance with the set-up of the franchise, as well as vast reductions on material costs and continuous help from its team of support managers.
Type Of Franchisees
Mr. Electric says that it will assess everyone on their own merits, although the company is looking for people with enthusiasm for the service and the market which it serves.
It doesn’t matter if you are not an electrician, although those already in the trade are welcome to take up a franchise to run themselves or to enhance the profitability of a current firm.
Training And Support
Potential franchisees will receive one week of intensive training by Mr Electric, with a further three days training for technicians. There will also be initial and ongoing training on marketing techniques, credit control, national accounts and technical matters.
Financial Details
Mr Electric provides a full breakdown of the costs involved when potential franchisees approach the company. As stated above, however, the estimated total cost is not expected to be more than £55,000.
Each franchise costs the same to set up, regardless of location, with the only exception being if a franchise is bigger than the minimum trading territory that Mr Electric has outlined.
