London Networking Evening - Thursday 25th September www.sixdegreesnetwork.co.uk Hello! We are organising a business networking event in central London, at the Hogs Head in Tower Bridge, and we would love to see you there from 7:00pm onwards on Thursday 25th September. We have also arranged some interesting speakers for the evening – Caroline Lashley from The Editors Office, which assists small and medium enterprises who are too busy to have the time, or lack the skills to do their own press and public relations, and Keith Harmon from Wienerwald Entertainments, catering for those who are putting on conferences, training, product launches, exhibitions, indoor and outdoor events, or just entertainment. His talk will give an eye-opening – and entertaining – look into the world of an event organiser. This follows our very successful launch in Manchester on September 3rd, where we had around 50 people attending. Two of our attendees from Bolton had been doing business with each other and communicating over the web for years, and by coincidence ran into each other for the first time at our event! One of our speakers delivered the same keynote speech he gave at the Smarter Business Exhibition in Earls Court, and the evening was rounded off by an impromptu auction of our raffle prize, which raised £30 for the children of Western Sahara. Since then our subsequent events have proven just as successful, and we are now bringing the concept of no-pressure networking to the South. Some quotes from our attendees: “Most importantly for me, the whole experience was comfortable and valuable…I really did feel as though I was chatting with like minded friends with common goals and aspirations.” “Great atmosphere, and so real. Unlike many networking events where everyone sits at tables pretending to be business people!” “It is possible to do business AND enjoy yourself at the same time!!” Itinerary is as follows: 7.00 - 7.45 General Networking 7.45 - 7.50 Introduction and welcome by John Jenkins and Bonnie Robinson, regional partners for Six Degrees 7.50 - 8.20 Talk by Caroline Lashley of The Editors Office: Making PR and the Media your Best Friends 8.20 - 8.50 Talk by Keith Harmon: From Alpine Cows To Flying Carpets - The bizarre world of an event organiser 8.50 - 10.00 More general networking with light refreshments laid out. 10.00 Finish The bar will still be open after 10.00 if people wish to continue the evening. Full details of the event, including maps and booking, can be found on our website at www.sixdegreesnetwork.co.uk/eastlondon.htm Admission on the door is £20.00, however we strongly recommend that you pre-book, as many places have already been taken. It’s cheaper too! Pre-booking is £18.00, or if you are a member of Ecademy you can pre-book for only £16.50. The more people who attend the better the event will be, so please pass this on to anyone else you think would find it useful. A room full of people is a room full of contacts! See you there. Regards, Justin Baker and Gill Fernley Founders, Six Degrees Network
