Businesses pursuing cleaner and greener ways of operating may have the opportunity to gain investment or win a financial prize by being accepted on a new programme.
E-Synergy and the Carbon Trust have joined forces to develop a new Investment Readiness Programme.
The programme is designed to strengthen the investor appeal of cleantech companies – firms that use energy, water and other raw materials more efficiently in order to create less waste.
Businesses that are accepted onto the programme will be considered for investment by the E-Synergy Sustainable Technology Fund.
Furthermore, there will also be a £5,000 prize for the business judged to be most impressive.
The programme will accept up to ten businesses, and consist of 12 workshop sessions held in April.
It is aimed at entrepreneurs and companies developing sustainable technologies, helping to cut pollution and waste or improve energy efficiencies. It has also been designed to help management teams gain a better appreciation of the investor’s perspective.
Andrew Stevenson, chief executive of E-Synergy, said: “We are delighted to announce this new collaboration with the Carbon Trust and look forward to working with companies keen to attract the investment funding needed to develop and commercialise their ideas.”
Sessions covered by the workshops will include sales and marketing analysis, shareholder agreements and articles, and human resources.
Companies interested in taking part should contact Mike Bowman (m.bowman@e-synergy.com) or Sarah Guy (s.guy@e-synergy.com) or call E-Synergy on 020 7583 3503
