Brigantia Group is steadily growing and has a target of 1000 members, (approximately 1250 outlets), which they expect to achieve by the end of the financial year. Currently Brigantia Group member annual sales are in excess of £240 million and members build / resell more than 230,000 PCs, notebooks & servers each year. 90% of Brigantia Group members have either a shop front or a showroom. A recent survey showed that Brigantia Group members look after in the region of 300,000 SOHO/SME businesses in addition to their consumer customers.

What is the Brigantia Group?

The Brigantia Group is specifically directed towards the Independent Computer Reseller, with or without Retail premises, with single or multiple sites.

As the largest growing buying group, we have the methodology already in place to take away those every day headaches you get whilst trying to run your business.

A member of the Brigantia Group benefits by taking advantage of pre-negotiated deals with Distributors, Service Providers and Vendors. The primary advantages to a Brigantia Group member are lower costs, free or reduced carriage, special offers and access to deals that otherwise they would not be able to obtain as a small Reseller / Retailer.

So how does that benefit my business?

You would have the ability to trade with leading Distributors such as:

Ingram, Enta, Midwich, Microtronica, Channel Dynamics, JET TEC, Northamber, Vivanco, XMA, XPD and many other specialist distributors like Sangers, AVM and CMS Peripherals.

All these Distributors offer volume discounts, free next day delivery service, dedicated account managers and no small order surcharge.

For example, you may order one hard drive from Ingram Micro. The price you can expect to pay is equivalent to a non Brigantia member who has to spend £ 250,000.00 per month. You achieve this discount without having to commit to any such volume or long term spend.

You may talk directly with the dedicated account manager at selected Vendors such as: Computer Associates, AMD, Acer, APC, Avanquest UK, Belkin, FOCUS Multimedia, British Telecom, BullGuard, Epson, Freecom, Intel, Genius, iriver, Mamut, Maxtor, Mako Networks, Microsoft, OKI, Phoenix Global Software, Roxio, Sony, Solarsoft, tech air & ZyXELand many more.

These Vendors will offer you POS, sample / data sheets on their product. You can also obtain any “ giveaways “ such as umbrellas, pens, post-it notes. Rebate schemes are also available, where Vendors will pay you direct for buying their product.

For example Microsoft offer a 3.5% rebate on all software purchased and BT offer a rebate of £ 20.00 for every ADSL account sold.

Question: Do you believe that you should receive the same support from vendors that large major multiples do?

As a Brigantia member you have your own dedicated Account Manager with each Vendor, Distributor and Service Provider. It is their responsibility to manage Brigantia and all their members.

In addition there are select Brigantia Vendors that have opted into a scheme called the Reseller Education Programme (REP). They have committed to sending a trained consultant to see you at your premises free of charge should you wish to participate.

Question: Do you wish you had a support network as though you were part of a larger group?

As a Brigantia member you can communicate with each other on the forum on the Brigantia Group members’ intranet on a variety of topics that affect many independent Resellers and Retailers in our channel. This communication channel enables the members to exchange views and share their knowledge.
