DO you recieve a lot of mail from people saying they can offer you this or that to help increase revenue for your business?
Are you more likely to pay attention from people selling you stuff via phone, fax or email?

In general, I'll delete any junk emails, bin any junk faxes (they bug me more than emails) and promptly end any phone call from cold callers.
If I require a service, I'll actively look for it. A business' best chance of peaking my interest is by having a professional website and/or a decent yellow pages ad and be polite and helpful when contacted.

Hi Nick,
I think it's even harder to target people through the post as it's difficult to promote your product or service when the letters in the bin before it's been opened, I think most people can spot junk mail a mile off.....perhaps thats the trick, just mail using brown envelopes, simple plain black printed addresses with no company stamp, atleast if the recipient can't tell it's junk mail then they'll open the letter to see what it is.
