A recently launched business software offers a comprehensive planning tool to those looking to start their own business.

NatWest’s Business Start Up software, which recently claimed the annual Revolution Award for Best Business to Business Service, aims to take the hassle out of start-up business planning.

The software, which includes the bank’s MyBusiness Essentials and Business Planner programs, enables prospective entrepreneurs to work through their commercial ideas, produce a working business plan and organise and manage their financial records.

Functions also include an appointments and jobs manager, invoicing catalogue and access to NatWest’s online library of Business Guides.

In just over six months since its launch, NatWest has sent its software to over 100,000 potential entrepreneurs.

“Planning is the key to a successful start-up, and often many potential entrepreneurs need guidance with pulling together a business plan,” said Pete Ferns, director of NatWest Business Banking.

“If prepared and used properly, a business plan can move and develop your business, telling you what is working and more importantly, give you early warning of what is not,” he added.

The Business Start Up software runs on Microsoft Windows XP or Millenium Edition, or for Mac users, OS 10.1.
