I think you misunderstand.

You can have the registered office address anywhere you like. Many companies offer a registered office address it will cost about £100 per annum if you Google and find an address you like the look of. It doesn’t have to be the same as the formation agent.

If you know what you are doing (ie 100% sure you need the company, and know exactly how many shares you need, the right participants etc etc etc) I would use one of the cheaper formation agents such as quick formations. It £35 or something for same day formation. The helpline is pretty good too if you get stuck.

If you DONT know what you are doing then please take proper advice about business structure from your accountant before you form the company. The amount of pointless ltd co.s I end up closing is phenomenal simply because people have acted before taking (often free!) advice about their trading structure.

You probably only need to get a specialist solicitor invovled if you have a complicated set up - eg a number of partners of different classes of shares where you need to change "table A" the standard rules of how the company is run.
