Hi
I'm just about to launch my new business (hopfully mid Sept.), but it doesn't look like it's going to produce much money for me to draw out in the short term. This is fine as it is part of the business plan, but I am looking at other ways of generating income whilst my business grows.
I have decided to try my hand at doing some freelance writing and communications work. Was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on how to get started in a low cost way. I have quite a bit of relevant experience - press officer, internal comms mgr, and general writing, but have no idea about how competitive this field is for freelancers. I'm not after competing with the big boys, just doing something to generate some income.
I'd be really grateful for any thoughts, advice, help, etc.
Thanks!
Bunny

I may need a freelance writer in the coming months. I will be launching two websites and require someone to proof-read parts of the sites and also write some content for certain pages.
I haven't had a look at what/who is available to do this work and don't plan to do so until I have completed everything I need to do, but if this is the kind of thing you would be interested in let me know.

Hi there
Would you be interested in becoming a freelance CV writer? I am looking to create a bank of freelancers to call upon, as my business is about to increase significantly due to a recent partnership.
If you would like to discuss this further, do email me on enquiries@ackerman-chase.com and we can take it from there.
Thanks

try speaking to holly yetmore if you do a search for her she should come up.
also go to www.handbag.com and go to the discussion forums there are a lot of freelance and staff writers on that board that have offered some great advice.
You may also find getting a copy of the 'writers handbook' which is avalible at amazon and smiths etc a good starting block!!
Good luck!!
