I have a review/opinion-based website that I started as a hobby about a year ago. Since then, the site has grown from strength the strength. As the site was originally started as a way of getting into web development, I didn't really expect it to get popular but it has. The costs of running the site have increased due to the need to move to a dedicated server and outsourcing graphics work to someone else. I have also started offering prizes to members (Amazon vouchers and the like) which has started to bring in new members. In terms of income, as of the start of this year, I have registered with a number of affiliate schemes and advertising agencies providing banner ads, and offered advertising to a number of small sites, but have made no more than £100 so far (apart from a recent £500 prize from a top internet mag). I am currently in full-time employment and am wondering whether I should start a business as a sole trader. I don't know hom much money the site will make as I don't sell a product or service as such. What should I do?!!
