We have been actively trading since August but even though we have had done quite a lot of marketing and hooking up with partners our take up is low. The number of hits and visits to our site, I have been told is very high, for such a new company, we have also had media interests but still take up is low. Can any of you wise people out there tell me what is wrong with the site and why people are not dying to use our services.
We are also always looking for suppliers, so if you think you can be work with us, please don't hesitate to contact us.

hi,
the site needs to grab your viewer more firstly. with the flash text at the top and text lower down i would amend that. It's your content that will interest them not some flash image of words. put the content up, keep the sidebar and image and drop the flash text or just leave it for the home page.
The site isn't bad by a long way. I'll just include more content.
Don't be afraid to put your prices on this. Just a ball park figures. My impression was at first this seemed a expensive thing. In the testimonals use actual names, companies, if they don't mind being highlighted then that always add a little bit more.
Do you submit to search engines? or at least have your website optisimised for search engines. this is vital.
You need to have more recipriocal links on the site. this will in turn increase the visitors and thus sales.
More visitors generally mean more sales so just stick with it. Maybe have a feedback option aswell so people can comment on site, etc.
Hope this helps. If you need more information on site submission then feel free to drop me a line. www.ipromotions.co.uk

Hi Mamakoh
If you are hoping to generate leads from your website then it's a 2-stage process. Firstly, the people who you are targeting need to be finding your site. Secondly, once there they need to be persuaded to contact you.
Getting a high number of hits is not the same as receiving targeted visitors. 'Hits' do not equal visitors, and even millions of visitors are of little use if they're not your target market. As has already been mentioned, you need to optimise the site and submit it to (at least) Google and the Open Directory. At the moment, the 'description' tag on the homepage is weak and there's very little other content for the robots to index. I did a link popularity test on your URL at http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm and it showed only 2 inwards links.
To optimise your site: first research your keywords (what will the people you are trying to attract be searching for) then write content, page titles and descriptions to include the keywords. Don't submit the site until you have done at least this.
As regards the reasons why the site isn't converting - firstly it could just be that you haven't attracted the right visitors yet. Secondly, it could just be that you're not presenting your company or your services the right way for your target audience.
I wonder if you need to look hard at your website and refer back to your marketing plan. Who exactly are you targeting? What are their interests and attitudes, and what are the specific problems that you're offering to solve? Are you putting yourself in their shoes and talking to them in their language about the problems that they face everyday?
Test your page copy - if you have friends or suppliers who are a close fit with your target client, ask then to critique it. For example, I wonder whether the 'flowery' copy on your homepage is likely to resonate with busy professionals. The content of the homepage is crucial if you are to entice people further into the site to find out more. Have you analysed your web stats? What percentage of visitors leave after viewing only the homepage? If it's a very high, then that should tell you the homepage needs work.
I did only skim through your site, but other things that occured to me:
- what you are selling is a high-involvement purchase - it's not a quick and easy decision to buy, such as if you were selling stationery or other readily understandable commodities. Therefore you need more explanation, walk-throughs, examples, more reassurance and more real testimonials with names of people and companies
- Include details of who you are. Transparency is crucial if you want people to trust you. Personally I am sick of clicking on website links that say 'About Us' only to find everything except what I want to know: who are you? Why should I buy from you? What's your address? If you are not totally open then people will think you have something to hide
- white text on a dark background - this may be very subjective but to me it suggests the site is either: amateur, to do with games/D & D or 'adult'
- There is a lot of information that's buried - for example on your news and offers page there are time-sensitive offers that you could be flagging up much more prominently on your homepage. Give people plenty of reasons to contact you - not sometime or other, but NOW. Plus, if the content of your homepage includes offers and events that are regularly changing, it's an incentive for people to bookmark the page and return back.
Anyway, hope that's useful - best of luck
Robin
