Karl
The market is tough if you want to compete with the likes of Woolworths and also now I think Boots. They work on micro thin margins and I know the people securing these deals and we are talking thousands.
The likes of CPW and Phones 4U by at a rate that makes your eyes water.
Let us have rough numbers and what you want to do with them and I can introduce you to some people.

Hello
Agree with Adam on that one...i recall reading a post on e bay on exactly the same point and margins being talked off were laughable...maybe Accessories hold better scope??
best wishes...Rich

Non branded accessories can bring a margin of over 500%.
To beat the high street players in price, you would be lucky to make £3 a box. They of course are making much more due to the cost price.
Also, you will find it hard to go to a distributor, sign up and only take one order when they have have a special offer, they would look to supply you on a regular basis.
It may be an idea though to make contact with them and shift the old stock. Phones 4U often has old stock in stores, probably an average of 8 handsets per store that will never be sold.
01782 600 600 is the Caudwell Group head office - ask for Phones 4U stock dept.

Thanks for the advice.. mobiles are off the menu for me. However the non branded accessories sound very tempting, does anyone have a contact i could 'borrow' :-)
thanks again

Hi Karl,
My company is currently developing some database applications for a Mobile Wholesaler. I think I can give you their contacts but I'm waiting on their permission before I do so. I dont think they'll have a problem, but I wont post it here.
Drop me an email and I'll repy once I've heard back from my client.
Regards
Alex.

The profit in mobiles is in the future devels and addons....
Look at two cows on mobile games and gambling
Look at TOM TOM or multi maps and look at sat NAV via fones or PDA's
GPS is a good one as people are still having probs getting info with regards top whats ava.....
