I was wondering with was more profitable been a wholesaler or a retailer, as many people state that wholesalers make less profit, yes they would turn over more money per year, because they shift alot of goods, but how much profit do they really make, and if this is the case then why are there more wholesalers than retailers ? , i have contacted several manufacters regarding diecast models and collectables, as i sell diecast models online part time, for example i contacted AUTOart models an they said the best they could do was 59% of RRP inc VAT, but the wholesalers don`t charge much more than than (65%) thats a 6% differance so in terms of profit there making that`s about 10% so would this be feasible ?.
