We are in the process of starting a company that will be repairng and reworking populated PCBs both PTH AND SMT ,cable assembly and electronic component distribution .However i have run into the difficulty of not knowing which proper software to use in the company .The software should be able to enable management to track company stock ,generate invoices ,works orders ,delivery notes ,invoices , remind management of order dates etc.Can anyone please advise.

The two most popular accounting packages are SAGE (which accountant like) and QuickBooks (which non-accountants tend to like).
There isnt a lot to chose between the two of them, but if you do a seach on google their respecitve websites will pop up.
If you go for something quite mainstream, you will find there is a lot of support out there, and portability into other systems later on is quite easy if you want something specialised.
Sage (which I am more familar with for example) has a number of levels of software and different componets that can be bolted on to grow with the complexity of your business.
