Startups readers are being offered the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of business angels and advisors including former Dragon Doug Richard.

Desperately Seeking Finance, the latest in the British Library’s Inspiring Entrepreneurs events, will give budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn the do’s and don’ts of raising finance from the experts, as well as pitch their own company.

As part of the evening, three entrepreneurs will take to the stage to present their business idea.

The audience will also have the opportunity to put their questions to Doug Richard and the rest of the panel, which includes Julie Meyer, founder of investment and advisory firm Ariadne Capital, and David Sullivan, financial relationship manager at the London Development Agency.

To apply for one of the evening’s three pitching slots, send a 200 word summary of your business idea, including key financial projections, to bipcworkshops@bl.uk.

Desperately Seeking Finance takes place on the 22 April at the British Library Conference Centre at 6.15pm, followed by a networking reception until 9pm.
