Local Marketing

Hi Guys, As you know ive only just launched my business, and as im based on the Isle of Wight I feel I could do some local marketing to drum up some business as alot of you may know that the Island is the business capital of the South. But I have some questions. What type of marketing would benefit me the most, and be the most effective? If anyone here has been in the same situation prehaps you could share your experiences? Brett may I suggest that you contact a list brokers and purchase email addresses and phone numbers you should be able to do this fro very little capital, then email everyone stating you will be calling and then get on the phone. This is the quickest methode of promotion and the only one that is completely measurable.
