Hi All,
I just finished project for UK manufacturer (Export Sales Development) and now are considering other employment/freelance/business possibilities.
I recognize good business opportunities in recruiting people from Eastern Europe (the Baltic States, Poland, etc.) to UK market. I have placed, assisted and consulted many people from Latvia already for various positions. And still have many willing to relocate. I contacted recruitment firms here, but none seemed to be interested in Eastern European workers or to my offer yet.
I am fluent in English, Russian, Latvian (native), German (ok). I am familiar with Eastern European market and culture and am knowledgable on various industries - Hospitality, Construction/Building, Hospitals, etc. My specialty is International Trade. Hovewer, I am confident that currently recruitment from Eastern Europe provides good opportunities, especially until other EU countries open their job markets for new EU members.
Anyone interested - let's discuss? Please contact me: stgeorgs@yahoo.com . Many thanks.

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for asking.
Most of people who come here from Eastern Europe are to: Work, Save money and Return, depending on each individually, after 2 - 3 years. And if the offers and prospects to stay are good, even longer.
Because of the ineffective & corrupt governments, greedy owners/managment, increasing prices and inflation, tax system, etc., most of the countries in Eastern Europe already now begin to experience shortage of skilled/unskilled labor - everyone who WANTS and CAN work, is leaving to the places where they receive, if not the best, at least decent wages.
Most of the people have close ties to their homeland and they keep in touch with the friends, relatives. But the economical situation there, no matter what incouraging news the newspapers, magazines, and poll numbers say, for most majority is not getting better.
I know that some might think that gast-arbeiters take away jobs from local citizens, but somehow there are continuous demands for jobs. Businesses again are becoming very competitive here.
Regards,
