Has anyone used e-mail marketing as an alternative to direct mail, adverts etc? I am seriously thinking about going down this route to promote my products and services so any feedback would be great. Such as - Where did you obtain your opt-in email list? What were you promoting? Did you send the email as text, html or both? What software did you use to send the emails, an e-mail reader or dedicated software? How many did you send and what was the response? My website works well and brings in a large amount of business but I would like to take online marketing a step further and attract buyers rather than wait for them to find us.
