Hi,

I've got a small limited company with me as the sole director. I'd now like to add a director to the company with equal rights and shares and also change the company name. The name change is an easy one as far as I can see but I'm unsure of how to go about appointing a director. Do I just fill in form 288A and then issue shares using form 88(2)? I'd like for this director to have equal business share. Currently the company has an authorised share capital of 1000 shares with 1 share alloted to myself.

We wish to be in a situation where neither of us can remove the other and no major business decisions can be made without consent of the other director. Is this practical?

Thanks,

James.
