Most wholesalers understandably don't whish to disclose their products and price lists to anybody. So when creating my business plan how do I go about getting prices and products such that I can verify my idea?????

Simple - tell us what products you want to deal in. Surely someone else will be dealing with the same thing and they might be able to give you some guidelines.
