Hello,
I am trying to guage how much I should expect to pay for somebody to develop some simple graphics for use in display ads and also in web ads, buttons and banners ?
Can anybody give me any ideas ? can anybody recommend someone ?

Ewen (above) did us some top-notch graphics for an advertising campaign (in an expensive magazine - therefore it had to be right!) and also re-designed our Co. logo, delivered what we needed on time (to a very tight timescale), at an unbelieavable low price.
The advert has already brought us numerous responses (cheers again Ewen!) and has paid for itself already. Advertising is a very dodgy game, and I would recommend you match the quality to where you intend to advertise - free-ads, design it yourself, top-quality consumer/trade magazine, get it done properly.
I am sure there are others out there, but Ewen should be on your shopping/consideration list,

Recommendations are usually the best way to proceed.
If you get stuck on the web graphics side, we run a directory of developers where you can actually post your project on-line, view portfolios and get quotes . There is a link in the signature.
