Budding entrepreneurs could win the chance to turn their ideas into a commercial reality at an upcoming business-to-business convention in London.

The London Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) is offering aspiring entrepreneurs with the best business idea in attendance at the B2B Exhibition in Earls Court on 27 and 28 June, a free place at one of its half day Intellectual Property workshops.

The workshops will be held in conjunction with the Patent Office, and the winner will also receive up to two free days support worth £1,800 from its specialists.

The DTI’s manufacturing hot shots will give The support will help the winner develop their product – from sourcing manufacturers to produce a prototype, to researching potential markets and planning a business development strategy.

London MAS has already assisted entrepreneurs with ideas such as a device that alerts users to their energy consumption, an extension device to help children learn the piano, noise-reducing earpieces and a chemical-free, portable water purification device, all of which will be on display at the event.

On Wednesday 28 June, Colin Allaway, of London MAS, and British and European Patent Attorney Matt Dixon will give 45-minute seminar on IP in the Sales & Marketing Theatre at the exhibition.
