Hi All,
I am currently setting up 2 websites, and I already have another one. My current site e-mail goes to my MS Outlook, e.g. sales@xyz.com
Now my question is, can I have the email addresses of my other 2 sites, sales@abc.com and sales@mac.com to go in to Outlook as well and how would I go about it? I'm a sole trader so only use 1 pc. Sorry, if it's a dumb question.
Also, can anyone recommend cheap and reliable web hosting? It will only be for one of the sites.
Thanks in advance
Thorpelad

What version of Outlook?

You can probably set this up in your web hosting account.
For example, log in to the web site where your 2 additional sites are hosted and click on the 'domain management' section. In there you should see a section for 'email management'.
Under there, you can configure all mail to abc.com or mac.com, (or whatever your domains are called), to be forwarded to your proper email address.
Each domain host uses a slightly different management system, but the above should point you in the right direction.
Cheers!

This is extremely simple. You just set up all email accounts in Outlook under Tools > Services (alternatively, Control Panel > Mail). Then you need to turn on the "from" field in the view menu which will let you type the address you want to message to appear to be from. If your replying to an email sent to you then Outlook will select this automatically for you.
If you want to really seperate the addresses out, you can create Profiles in Outlook, again in Tools > Services, which you can then switch between, but I find it easier just to have rules to sort the email into folders for each address.
If you need further help let me know.

"Rod has stated the most practical means: do it all from the control panel of your provider. I do this through 1 & 1 and it's a quick, simple procedure."
Please do explain how to reply to a message sent by a customer to sales@abc.com which you have forwarded in your 1 & 1 panel to sales@xyz.com in Outlook without having your reply appearing to come from sales@xyz.com?

Atomi,
Chilll man!
The original poster's question was:
"Now my question is, can I have the email addresses of my other 2 sites, sales@abc.com and sales@mac.com to go in to Outlook as well and how would I go about it? I'm a sole trader so only use 1 pc. Sorry, if it's a dumb question."
And the reply I gave answers this quite adequately!
It's the system I use.
And yes, I do also have alternate accounts set up in Outlook so when replying, I can select any of three accounts so the mail appears to come from the correct domain.
Good luck!

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as stressed there! Worded that badly. I really was genuinely interested in how this could be done just through the hosts control panel as I thought I had missed something really obvious.
Thanks for clarifying.

Hey - no probs, man!
There's so many different ways of configuring stuff like that - there's hardly ever just one correct way of doing things!
:o)
