Hi! I've been approached to write a short article/overview on networking opportunities available to young and small businesses. I'd be interested to know a little about your experiences, their advantages and disadvantages.
Thanks, in advance.

Hi,
I've been attaending BNI meetings for quite some time, and I'm a regional membership coordinator for BoB Clubs - so I know quite a bit about breakfast networking clubs.
Drop us an email if you think I could be of use

I ought to make clear that I want to concentrate on networking opportunities outside of the Leads/Networking, weekly breakfast referral groups. I think they have their uses, particularly in the Business to Consumer world, and I like the fact that most insist on non-competitive businesses. But it's in the other networking opportunities (Chambers of Commerce, Professional Groups, online networking, one-off networking events) where I'm interested to learn of individual experiences...

To be honest, if I knew I'd tell you. It's for a freelance journalist friend of mine, she's approached me because I used to do the "networking thing" when I was starting up my own business. I'm quite sceptical because I didn't really extend my contacts and clients...merely my waistline.
But I want to explore what's out there
