Lasertech UK Ltd, a leading supplier of printer products, have announced that it will open ten new franchises this year, to add to the 17 already up and running.

The Warrington-based firm has promised that new franchisees will receive a large trading territory and existing Lasertech customers. Entrepreneurs will also enjoy a substantial period of growth once established, according to the firm.

Lasertech franchisees operate from stocked vans, selling a variety of brands to consumers. Products on offer include inks, toners and printers – all supplied straight from the manufacturer.

The firm also offers a recycling programme to local businesses and schools for their used printing products. It is estimated that only 25 per cent of printer cartridges are currently recycled by consumers, with the remaining two-thirds being thrown away and ending up in landfills where they can take up to 100 years to decompose.

After just one year of its franchise operation, Lastertech claim that franchisees are flourishing due to the comprehensive training, support and advice on offer to them 24 hours a day.

The market for printer consumables is also growing, allowing Lasertech to plan expansion to almost every corner of the UK.

Frank Horton, a Lasertech franchisee, said that he has dedicated people to call upon to aid his firm whenever he wants.

“The sales and marketing support and advice I have received over the past year has been excellent and all the sales activity such as the direct mailing campaigns have been very effective and exceeded my expectations,” he said.
