Britain’s aspiring women entrepreneurs are being encouraged to consider starting their own franchise business.
At its National Franchise Exhibition in October, the British Franchise Association (BFA) is hosting a new forum featuring leading women entrepreneurs who will offer advice and insider tips to other women who are looking to start their own franchise businesses.
Speakers at the Women in Franchising Zone will include Rosemary Conley, a leading entrepreneur and founder of the nationwide Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Clubs as well as Rachel Elnaugh of the BBC's Dragon's Den and founder of Red Letter Days.
“The National Franchise Exhibition provides the best illustration of the diversity of the franchise sector,” said Dan Archer, head of marketing at the BFA.
“Female franchisees account for almost half of all franchised businesses either independently or as part of a joint ownership team, so the Women in Franchising Zone has a vital role to play in furthering the development of enterprising women."
The event is schedule to be held at Birmingham's NEC on 6 and 7 October and runs from 10am to 5pm on Friday, 6 October, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 7 October.
