A limited Company was formed by myself and an associate about a year ago.
It is really not working out. Can I resign and hand over my shares or must the company be de-registered?

Hi,
This all depends if you have a contract with your other business partner.
However, you are free to resign from the company at any time you wish.
You can resign and retain shares or sell them to whom you like within reason
The company does not need to be de-registered. However there would need to be at least 2 officers within the company.

Dave

well there is a online form on companieshuse.gov.uk to termniate directorship. Use that.
If you have access to your onine account with companies house you can do it within minutes. You don't need any assistance, do it yourself.
