Confidence is high among the UK’s small business sector, with 67 per cent of entrepreneurs positive about the future, according to a new survey.
The survey, by insurers More Than Business, shows signs of optimism among small businesses, with only one in ten employers harbouring doubts about the fate of their company.
In addition, 21 per cent UK enterprises polled displayed evidence of first rate trading, helping to increase their business turnover within a two to three year period.
However, bosses were less sure of the prospect of a single European currency. 56 per cent of respondents were indifferent as to the implications the Euro being introduced to the UK.
This figure may point towards a need for the government to provide businesses with further education on the subject.
Rachel Cotton, Manager at More Than Business, said: “"There are around 3.6 million businesses with turnovers of less than £1m which account for an overwhelming 94% of the UK's businesses today, strong evidence indeed that entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Britain.”
