Hi! [:I]
I need a company logo.
Does anyone know of any good low cost company logo designers.
Around the West London/Heathrow area?

Hi,
Sorry Vijay, this is not going to help you at all - but I was just about to post a query about logo's myself and thought I may aswell do it here as any one answering your queries maybe able to help me and vice versa.
Basically I know what I want my logo design to look like and I have even done a version of it on word, but it needs tweaking and also to be saved as a transferable image/template. I can't see the point of paying someone else when I have already done most of the work. So if anyone has any suggestions as to software I should buy/download or anything else I would be really grateful.
Thanks a million,
Jo.

Vijay,
Whilst our base is not close to the aera you mention we do have existing clients in that region and would be more than willing to discuss your design needs.
Logo design is not as expensive as people think, the cost depends on your design requirements and time taken to fulfill your needs (and a bit of good old haggling!! [
]...)
Jo,
Your request seems pretty straight-forward and i agree that just changing the template / image is not really a big request and that it should not cost much. Depending on the amount of 'tweaking' required, we would probably be able to do it for next to nothing.
You can either email me direct andy.barr@bigbluedoor.com or could post a message on our FREE IT and Business help forum, visit www.bigbluedoor.com/forum
Anyway, Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards

Dear Vijay,
We do provide company logos as part of web design structure and are relatively close to Heathrow/West London.
Please contact me at contact@c2webdesign.co.uk for further details.
Jo - the template you already have is going to be the best thing to use and we could 'tweak' your image for web publishing for free. Please contact me at contact@c2webdesign.co.uk

I got my Logos done free through the Princes Trust Wired Up Scheme, now I know this probably won't apply to you, but I have got to say their designers in I reland are fantastic.
Check out some of their work at www.wiredup.net/northwest and then click on Business Park. I know these designers offer excellent rates which is why the Princes Trust use them.

We got ours designed through a company called www.zest4.biz and they display their costs on their web site. Really easy to get on with and they cover the whole of the UK. Good Luck

I would very much recommend reading the following help files on my website before choosing a logo designer www.trulyace.com/logocolours.html and www.trulyace.com/filetypes.html.
The reason I say this is based on this comment from guest; "Basically I know what I want my logo design to look like and I have even done a version of it on word, but it needs tweaking and also to be saved as a transferable image/template. I can't see the point of paying someone else when I have already done most of the work. Please do read the help files and from there you will understand that professional design software has to be used to design your logo, it has be created a vector design, and you will need an .eps version of your logo for commercial printing. Design software starts from £400 and can be obtained from Adobe, obviously there will be a significant learning curve with professional software.

Thanks to everyone for their advice, but best of all to Andy Barr at bigbluedoor.com for all his help - he has actually done several designs for me, based on my attempts, and has been really friendly and professional!
And Amanda at Truly Ace is quite right - it is enlightening to see what a professional company can do with the right software.
Thanks again - I think my new logo is great!
