I am new to the website and the forum. It's very good. I am in the process of exploring the possibility of setting up a Community/Learning Resource Advice Centre in Chelmsford aimed at meeting the specific social and economic needs of Black & Ethnic Minority Communities as well as other disdvantaged groups in the town. The ultimate aim isfor people from these commmunities toplay an active and positive role to the development and diversity of Chelmsford in particular and Mid-Essex in general. I am looking to provide advocacy and advice on health, education, employment, housing and community involvement issues as well as woorking with other public service agencies and employers in the area. Initial reasearch shows that this service is much needed in order to adequately meet the needs of 'hard to reach' groups in the area. It would be good if everyone gets the opportunity tp play a positive role in the development of Chelmsford - the best town in Essex! If anyone has any ideas and comments, it would be very much appreciated. Cheers.
