All,
Planning my Christmas sales strategy/ budget for this year and am trying to find out the number of magazines sold for a particular sector.
i.e. I want to know what is the best selling womens weekly magazine for December 2004
Any ideas where to get this information?
Cheers

How recent do you need the figures for? The info isn't widely available, but I do have current access to to Jan - June 2004 figures. The July - Dec figures usually appear the end of Feb.

Richard,
That would be great, thank you, the December stuff I can wait for, it is to give me an idea of cost, I use the following formula for costing up adverts:-
Cost per 1000 readers = £4
Therefore circulation figures
400,000 = £1600 per advert
That way I can work out how many adverts I can do in the run upto Christmas.

Graeme, I can get the info for pretty much any category, and any title, although results are based on the top 25 titles per category. I can wade deeper down if need be.
Martin, as soon as I get the figures I will let you have them. Email me and let me know which category/magazines you want data for.
I don't frequent Startups much, so if I miss a post, either email me or find me on youcangetit.co.uk/forum.
Cheers,
Richard

BTW, from experience, the best selling womens weekly will be 'Take A Break'
