How do I write a business email asking to to be a distributor?
I'm interested in being a distributor for an american company selling
sanitary products for women. On their website they are looking for
distributors outside the U.S.(I live in northern Europe). I'd like to know
about quantites, prices, shipping options and available information
packs or promotional items.
Should I mention something about myself?
What (specifically) do I write in my first contact with the company?

Mostly if companies are looking for affiliates they have some kind of info pack - I'd simply say that you like in Europe and are interested in becoming a distributor could they send you an information pack?
Often people send a lot of information via email and it gets ignored because it isn't relevant. As a VA I always include:
- A brief synopsis of the content of the email in the title
- A signature with my contact details
- Bulleted points if necessary
Hope this helps!

Yep, keep it short if possible & to the point.
I have always thought that emails are less formal than letters & they should not waste words - get to the point, but provide all the relevant info you think they will need (as mentioned above).
If they want more, they can easily click the reply button and ask for more.
