RE: Company Formation and Registration Company

There are heaps of formation agents out there - most of them do a very good job as it’s an entirely automated process - their software either works or it doesn’t.
You should aim to pay under £35+VAT for a straight formation, and unless you need advice then just go for the most basic package, these agents do try to sell you all sorts of rubbish you really don’t need, like company seals.
There are plenty of nominee secretary services around, but you should be able to find someone to do this for you - it’s largely a nominal role but does come with some responsibilities as outlined on the company house website. It’s a role best held by a close family member or friend, although in your case of being from over the pond this may be a little trickier than for the average brit.
The bigger questions however are:
Do you actually need a limited company? Or would a sole trader be better right now?
Who are going to be the participants? (ie can you include a spouse or other person?)
Do you understand how to actually run the company once you have got it formed?
Make sure you have take proper advice to these types of questions, much of which you should be able to get form initial free consultations with your accountant.

James,
Thanks again. Your explanation was very helpful.
Do you also provide services for straight formation or you do purely deal in accountancy?

I can form a company for you, but would use one of the formation agents so you in effect pay twice - once for the agent and once for my time to collect the information and type it in the boxes. Quite frankly is so easy to do (just filling in an on-line form) most clients end up doing the formation task themselves after taking initial advice on the format to go for. The hard bit is running it properly, which is what I like to use my time helping with.

Why not try http://www.quickformations.com
The bloke who runs it is called Richard and is a really nice guy.
They are pretty much the online market leaders for company formations and the prices fall in line with what James has already said.
